Obituary of Bruce Cossaboom

Bruce Cossaboom, 76, of Brielle died Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick Township. Mr. Cossaboom was the son of the late Dr. Ralph Forman Hobart Cossaboom and Dorothy Bennett Brown Cossaboom. He was the grandson of Dr. Harvey Brown, a prominent Freehold physician. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves from 1959 to 1965. He was a graduate of Rutgers University, Class of 1958 and earned a Master’s Degree from the University of Wyoming. He attended the First United Methodist Church of Freehold, and St. Mary by the Sea Episcopal Church, Point Pleasant Beach. Mr. Cossaboom spent a lifetime in media relationships after starting in journalism at the Freehold Transcript and he retired from C. D. Publication, Silver Spring, Maryland. Surviving is a long time honored friend Lucy Lewykin, Freehold Township. Until his passing he lived with another longtime friend, Joseph C. Tomlinson of Point Pleasant Beach and his wife Nancy and daughters Jeannie and Lorrie. Graveside services will be held at the Old Brick Reformed Church Cemetery, Route 520, Marlboro on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
