Obituary of Veronica Teevan

Veronica Teevan, 93, of New Paltz, NY died on September 14th. Born in New York, NY she lived in Lindenhurst, NY, before residing in Freehold, NJ for 14 ½ years prior to moving to New Paltz, NY 2½ years ago. Mrs. Teevan was an active parishioner with Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church of Lindenhurst, NY serving as a member of the ladies auxiliary, the rosary alter society and a CCD teacher. A devoted homemaker, and long time parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Church of Freehold. Mrs. Teevan was predeceased by her parents Edward Tobin and Cecilia Tynan Tobin, her beloved husband James J. Teevan in 2003, her son James Teevan, and her seven brothers and sisters. Mrs. Teevan is survived by her loving children Ronald Teevan and his wife Sandy of Greenville, SC, Veronica Russo of New Paltz, NY, Patricia Duquette of Somers, NY, Dorothy Doyle and her husband Mark of Marlboro, NJ and Virginia Kaufmann and her husband Daniel of Weaverville, NC., a daughter-in-law Bonnie Teevan, Ontario, Canada; and her dear sister Marion McCarthy of Rockaway, NY Mrs. Teevan is also survived by her 12 extra special grandchildren, and 11 extra special great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday 4-7 pm at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold. On Tuesday funeral services will be begin at 9:00 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Robert Bellarmine Church 61 Georgia Road, Freehold.
