Obituary of Barbara Nathanson

Barbara Nathanson, 71, of Upper Freehold Township died Friday, September 14, 2012 at home. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she lived in Manalapan Township prior to moving to Upper Freehold Township nine years ago. Mrs. Nathanson was a teacher at Solomon Schechter Academy, East Windsor, for ten years, retiring in 1996. She was a member of Hadassah, The Women’s Zionist Organization of America; and the Red Hat Society. Her husband, Gerald Nathanson, died in 2009. Surviving are two sons, David Nathanson and his wife Ellen, Manalapan Township, and Howard Nathanson and his wife Jill, Easton, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Amy Nathanson and her husband Matthew Morgan, New York City, New York; a brother, Edward Casarnoff, Mount Laurel; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Noon at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold. Interment will follow at Perrineville Jewish Cemetery, Perrineville.
