Obituary of Teofista S. Gamboa
Teofista S. Gamboa, 80 of Freehold Township died Saturday, October 27, 2012 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Bulacan, Philippines, she lived in South River prior to moving to Freehold Township two years ago.
Mrs. Gamboa was a manager for the State Lottery of the Philippines.
She was a former communicant of St. Bartholomew Church, East Brunswick; and an avid champion bowler.
Her husband, Enrique Gamboa, died in 2008.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Elmer S. and Mirza Gamboa, Freehold Township; a daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Rob Garfalo, New York City, New York; two brothers, Romeo Salvador, The Philippines, and Recaredo Salvador, Los Angeles, California; and three sisters, Amelia Francisco, Mimi Yumang, and Corazon Salvador, all of Los Angeles, California; two grandchildren, Derek and Nicole Gamboa; her cat, Zoe; and two dogs, Rocky and Rufus.
Relatives and friends may call at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Friday, November 2, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Freehold. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
