Obituary of Mildred Elizabeth D'Amore
Mildred Elizabeth D’Amore, 93, of Ravenel, S.C. died Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at her residence.
Mrs. D’Amore was born May 19, 1919 in Belleville, a daughter of Charles Adelmann and Bertha May Bell Adelmann. She had resided in Belleville and other communities in northern New Jersey before moving to Freehold in 1956.
She retired in 2004 and moved to South Carolina to be near two of her children.
She was a retired elder caregiver.
Mrs. D’Amore was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Freehold.
She was the widow of Carmine D’Amore.
Survivors include one daughter Carolyn Selser and husband Harry, Burnsville, MN; two sons, David D’Amore and wife Linda, Pensacola, FL, and John Tissot and wife Nancy, Ravenel, SC; one stepdaughter, Anna Morgan, Freehold; one stepson, James D’Amore and wife Tami, Freehold; one brother, George Adelmann, Roseland; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Higgins Memorial Home at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The ARK Alzheimer’s Family Support Services, 206 Central Ave., Summerville, SC 29483.
