Obituary of Lillian T. Miller

Lillian T. Miller, age 90, of Freehold passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at her daughters home in Freehold. Mrs. Miller was born in Perth Amboy, NJ. She lived Woodbridge prior to Freehold where she resided for the last 51 years. She was a Legal Secretary for John Dawes, Esq., Freehold for 30 years prior to her retirement. She also was the former owner/operator of Fins, Furs & Feathers Pet Shop, Woodbridge and was a former secretary for Judge Arthur Brown, Wood bridge. She is predeceased by her husband, Edward in 1981 and her sister Helen Belko. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Leonard and Mary Anne Miller; a daughter and son-in-law, Noreen and Christopher Smollon; three grandsons, Joseph Winowski, Brian Smollon and Kyle Smollon. She is also survived by her faithful companion “Buddy” and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a thank you to those friend who were helpful throughout her later years. Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, 10:30 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima RC Church, Freehold. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Perth Amboy, NJ. A donation in her memory can be made to the Monmouth SPCA, 260 Wall Street, Eatontown, NJ 07724.
