Obituary of Virginia Lackett

Virginia Blades Lackett, 88 of Freehold, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Asbury Park, she lived in Freehold over 65 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Freehold. She was predeceased by her husband, William A. Lackett, in 1996, and her son, Stephen J. Lackett, in June, 2012. Surviving are two sons, Michael W. and his wife Marylou Lackett, Melrose, Massachusetts, and Jeffrey J. Lackett, Freehold; a daughter, Judy M. Wade and her husband Billy, Springfield, Virginia, a daughter-in-law, Joanne Lackett, Brielle; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 10:45 A.M. at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold. Relatives and friends may call from 9:00 A.M. Saturday until service time. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. Donations in her memory to The Arc of Monmouth, 1158 Wayside Road, Tinton Falls, NJ 07712 would be appreciated.
