Obituary of Edward E. Bennett

Edward E. Bennett, 67, of Freehold, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Bartley Healthcare Center, Jackson. Born in Neptune, NJ, he lived all his life in Freehold. He was a Salesman for Cavanaugh’s in Freehold for 30 years before retiring in 2007. He was a Past Exalted Ruler and Honorary Life Member of B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 1454 in Freehold. Mr. Bennett is predeceased by his parents Lester and Frances Conklin Bennett, and his brother Robert. Surviving are his wife Ethel “Belle” Bennett; two sons, Edward Jr. and Joseph, both of Freehold; two daughters, Christine Fary of Howell Twp., and Donna Cook and her husband Russell also of Howell Twp.; two sisters, Jeanne Jameson and her husband Chester of Howell Twp., and Frances Lawrence and her husband Miller of Freehold. He is also survived by six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 2 p.m. until the funeral service at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home. B.P.O.E. Services will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. Cremation will be private.
