Obituary of Arlene Lauro

Arlene (Pellone) Lauro, 70, of Matawan died Monday, February 18, 2013 at home. Arlene was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Marlboro Township in 1973 to raise her family there. Arlene kept her roots in Marlboro but moved frequently back and forth to Florida chasing the sun. Arlene was a free-spirited, unique soul full of self determination. She had many passions including her art, going dancing at the Stone Pony with hopes of catching a glance of Bruce, and writing. She treasured her cats, and the ongoing search for excitement. She leaves behind her four children, Dawn, Joanne, Andrea and Neil; seven grandchildren, Vincent, Justine, Jake, Max, Dylan, Sydnee, and Angelica; and many friends. Visiting hours will be at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Memorial donations in her memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905 would be appreciated.
