Obituary of Agnes White
AGNES WHITE, of Manalapan died Wednesday, March 6 in her 92nd year.
Born Agnes Aitken in Irvine, Scotland, she came to the United States in 1926. She resided in Brooklyn, Levittown, and Valley Stream, New York, and Brick, New Jersey before moving to Manalapan several years ago.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert G. White, Jr. who passed away in 2008, and by a son-in-law, F. David Lasher, who passed away in 1977.
She is survived by her children: Diane Lasher, Carol Carpluk and her husband Douglas, Robert and his wife Carroll, John, and David and his wife Jeanne. She was the loving grandmother of 14, and the great-grandmother of 22.
She is also survived by a brother, Brigadier General Hugh S. Aitken, U.S.M.C. (Ret)., and by a sister-in-law, Doris White.
Visiting hours will be from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, March 10 at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street in Freehold.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 11 at 10:00 am at Old Tennent Church in Manalapan. Interment will follow at Old Tennent Cemetery.
