Obituary of Ruth O. Deptula
Ruth O. Deptula, 84, of Freehold died Thursday, April 11, 2013 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Deptula was born in Phalanx and had resided in Colts Neck before moving to Freehold 58 years ago.
Mrs. Deptula was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold.
She was a title searcher for Lawyer’s Title Insurance Corporation for over 25 years. After that she continued as a title searcher on her own until she reached 80 years of age.
Mrs. Deptula was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family and never missed a family function. She was known for her fun loving personality, enjoyed shopping, and completing cross word puzzles and word games.
She was born on the 4th of July and as child thought the annual fireworks display was for her birthday.
Her husband, Mitchell J. Deptula died in 1982. She was also predeceased by a brother, Joseph Oryll and a sister, Catherine Schlipf.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Robert Forman; and two sisters, Margaret Layton and Frances Case.
Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Monday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at the parish cemetery.
