Obituary of Marie Weglarz

Marie Weglarz, 82, of Lecanto, Fl died Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at HPH Hospice in Lecanto. She was born in Tennent N.J. to Gary and Minnie (Combs) Cottrell. She graduated from Jamesburg High School. She moved to Englishtown with her husband Frank in 1952 where they became communicants of Our Lady of Mercy Church. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society for many years and involved with the church for over 50 years. Those who knew her know she rarely would miss a Saturday night Mass. As a young woman she had worked at Debaun's Farm Market, Millstone and Washington Forge, Englishtown before taking time off to raise her children. She then returned to work at Lafayette Mills School in food services. She retired in 1989 to devote her time to her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Frank S Weglarz in 2010. She is survived by her daughter LuAnn Gilroy and her husband Gary of Lecanto, FL, a son Gary Weglarz of Manalapan, her grandchildren Nicholas and Matthew Gilroy of Lecanto, FL and Kelly Ann Gilroy of Ft Myers, FL. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be missed by all. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Englishtown on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
