Obituary of Nicholas Accisano
Nicholas Accisano, Jr., 92, of Manalapan Township died Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in Freehold and resided there before moving to Manalapan Township.
Mr. Accisano was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
He was an insurance adjuster for Allstate Insurance Company before his retirement. Prior to that he was employed at the former A. & M. Karagheusian Rug Mill and Bill’s Body and Fender Works, both of Freehold.
He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. He was an avid bowler and was a member of the Monday Nite Merchants Bowling League and the Monday Night Church League.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Ruth Malekovich Accisano; three sons, Nicholas G. Accisano, III and his fiancé Sandy, Charlie Accisano and Joanne, and John Accisano and his wife Linda; a brother and sister-in-law, William and Elsa Accisano; a sister, Rose Pallitto; and nine grandchildren, Kristine, Patti, Nicholas IV, David, Charles Jr., Kelly, John, Matty, and Jenna.
The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery.
