Obituary of Dwayne R. Penson

Dwayne R. Penson, 71, of Freehold Township passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Neptune Township, he lived in Manalapan Township prior to moving to Freehold Township five years ago. Mr. Penson was a grounds maintenance supervisor for the Old Bridge Township Board of Education. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was predeceased by his parents, Elsworth Uriah Penson in 1995, and Melvina Soden Penson in 1976, and his brother, Carl Penson in 2011. Surviving are two brothers, Elsworth Penson, Jr. and his wife Carol, Pottsville, Pennsylvania, and Theo Penson, Appomattox, Virginia; and a sister, Alberta “Alby” Mulvihill, Freehold; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. until service time. Interment to follow at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent.
