Obituary of Rosalind Selzer
Rosalind Selzer, 90, of Howell Township died Friday, April 29, 2016 at Wedgwood Gardens, Freehold Township. Mrs. Selzer was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and had resided in Manalapan Township from 1949 to 1999 when she moved to Howell Township.
She was a bookkeeper for Waterford Crystal, Wayside before her retirement 30 years ago.
Mrs. Selzer was a member of Congregation Sons of Israel, Manalapan Township and a life member of the Sisterhood of Congregation Sons of Israel.
She was the first president of the Manalapan-Englishtown Freehold Area Hospital Auxiliary, a past president and life member of Hadassah of Manalapan, and a member of the Singles Club at the Village Inn, Englishtown. She attended the New School for Social Research.
Her husband, David Louis Selzer, died in 1968.
Surviving are three daughters, Minda Selzer, Harriet Katerinis, and Marsha Selzer; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a nephew, Lee Snyder; two nieces, two great nieces, a great nephew; and a close friend, Maurice Piequette and husband Jean.
Funeral services will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday, May 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Congregation Sons of Israel Cemetery, Englishtown. Memorial donations to Hadassah or CentraState Medical Center would be appreciated.
