Obituary of Christine Richardson

Christine Richardson, 92, of Monroe Township died June 11, 2013 at Hartwyck At Oak Tree Care Center, Edison Township. Mrs. Richardson was born in Dunn, North Carolina. Mrs. Richardson was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church, Freehold where she was a Past President of the Women’s Auxiliary, member of the Church Choir and Church Missionary Board, and a former Sunday School Teacher. She was the widow of Rev. Robert Richardson, Pastor of the New Hope Baptist Church, who died in 1996. A son, Howard Aaron Richardson, died in 1973. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Robert D. Richardson, III and Dr. Claudia Richardson; a daughter, Latina Richardson; and two grandsons, Joseph Robert and Ross Howard Richardson. The viewing will be held at the New Hope Baptist Church, 28 First Street, Freehold on Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at the church on Monday at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Manalapan Cemetery, Millstone Township. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
