Freehold Borough lost one of its sweetest and nicest guys that walked the streets of the borough. Jackie was one of my best friends growing up. We played softball every day at Hudson Street school and then basketball across the street from his house on Center Street. By the way, he was also one of the best second base softball players I ever played with. Jackie and I would go to YMCA dances every Friday night to try to dance with the cutest girls in Freehold. Growing up in Freehold all my life and also being a retired police officer from there I knew Jackie's whole family. Especially his Mom who loved and idolized him so much. I knew most everyone in town and Jackie was on the top of the heap being one of the good guys in Freehold. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Rosemary, and the rest of his family during this very difficult time dealing with the loss of Jackie. He will truly be remembered with love.
