Obituary of Rita Gill

Rita Gill, 88, of Parlin died Monday, July 29, 2013 at Care One at Holmdel, Holmdel Township. Mrs. Gill was born in Bayonne. She was a communicant of St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin. Mrs. Gill was a graduate of Holy Family Academy, Bayonne. She was predeceased by her husband, James Gill in 2007; a daughter, Nancy Lynch; and her siblings, Michael and John Sheils, Lillie McHugh, Mary Gallagher, Katherine Kirby, and Annie Walsh. Surviving are four sons, James, Kevin, Gerard, and Brian Gill; a daughter Kathryn Gill and her husband Tom Kitt; grandchildren, John Patrick Lynch and his wife Roseann, Michael Lynch and his wife Jennifer and Kelly Ann Lynch, and Thomas and James Kitt; her great grandchildren, Jordin, Jon Jon, Olivia, Isabella, and Ryleigh Lynch; and many nieces and nephews. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Bernadette’s Church, 20 Villanova Road, Parlin on Friday at 9:30 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
