Obituary of Janice E. Suckow

Janice E. Suckow, 66, of Freehold Township died Sunday, September 8, 2013 at home. Janice was born in Manasquan and had resided in Long Branch and other Shore communities before moving to Freehold Township 35 years ago. Janice worked as a Computer Systems Project Leader for Continental Insurance in Neptune, Electronic Arts in Eatontown, and NBC in Manhattan. Janice spent the majority of career as Vice President of Manx Software Systems, a software publishing firm in Shrewsbury. During her retirement, she also worked at Target and Wawa in Freehold Township. In addition to her career, Janice was very active as a volunteer at Freehold Area Hospital and later as an EMT with the Freehold First Aid Squad. Surviving are her husband, Harry D. Suckow; a daughter, Lisa Smith, of Freehold Township; a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Karen Suckow, of Fairfield, NJ; a sister, Linda Feinberg, of Silver Springs, Maryland; and six grandchildren - Maxwell, Angelica, Sarah, Benjamin, Samuel, and Ryan James. A great grandchild is due in November. A memorial gathering will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. A time of sharing and remembrances of Janice’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m.
