Obituary of Susan Sinnott Kodila

Susan Sinnott Kodila, 64, of Freehold Township, passed away Monday, September 9, 2013 at home. Born in Elizabeth, she lived in Linden prior to moving to Freehold Township 36 years ago. Mrs. Kodila was a clerk for the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Department, Freehold for the past 13 years. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold, and a member of the choir. She was a past president of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the American Legion Post No. 54, Freehold. She was predeceased by her husband, Karl Kodila, in 1999. Surviving are two daughters, Keli Walsh and her husband, Jeffrey, Levittown, Pennsylvania, and Kari Kodila and her fiancé Ryan Matthews, Jackson Township; a brother, John J. Sinnott, Jr., Linden; two sisters, Eileen Clemente, Brick, and Sharon Zalink, Colonia; and her grandson, Michael Walsh. Relatives and friends may call at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 A.M. at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. Interment will follow at the Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.
