Obituary of Augustus Colatrella

Augustus Colatrella, 74, of Freehold Township died Monday, September 30, 2013 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in Newark. Mr. Colatrella was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a benefactor and former communicant of St. Lucy’s R.C. Church, Newark and was a member of the church’s Drum and Bugle Corps. He was predeceased by his siblings, Rose, Ralph, Peter, and Ronald. Surviving are two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lorraine and Vincent Barone and Shirley and Raymond Handel; and 16 nieces and nephews. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine R. C. Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
