Obituary of Loretta Louise Mallen

Loretta Louise Mallen, 85, of Freehold died Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Mallen was born in Bronx, N.Y. and had resided in Freehold for the past 28 years. Mrs. Mallen was a secretary for Bell Labs, Holmdel before her retirement in 1991. Surviving are a son, Mark A. Saunders; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Michael Staples and Paula and Eric Doll; two brothers, Albert and Edward Thacke; and seven grandchildren, Lindsay and Lucas Staples, Erica, Shelby, and Zachary Doll and Mark Alex and Shawn Saunders. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Fairview Cemetery, Middletown.
