Obituary of Richard Emmet Griffin

Richard Emmet Griffin, 72 of Marlboro Township, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in the Bronx, New York, he lived in New York City, New York prior to moving to Marlboro Township 15 years ago. Mr. Griffin was a stage hand for ABC Corporation, New York City, New York. Mr. Griffin was a member of the I.A.T.S.E. Local No. 1, New York City, New York, and a member of the B.P.O. Elks No. 1454, Freehold. Surviving are his brother, Robert Slavin Griffin, Marlboro Township; his nieces and nephews, Maureen Colandrea, Robert J. Griffin, Lorraine Tweitmann, and Thomas Griffin; eight grandnieces and nephews; and two great grandnieces. Relatives and friends may call on Monday, May 16, 2016 at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 11:30 A.M. at Maryrest Cemetery, 770 Darlington Avenue, Mahwah, NJ 07430. B.P.O. Elks services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 7:00 P.M.
