Obituary of Dorothy C. Cavanaugh

Dorothy C. Cavanaugh, 88 of Jackson Township passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at home. Born and raised in Newark, she raised her family in West Orange and had lived in Largo, Florida prior to moving to Jackson Township seven years ago. Mrs. Cavanaugh was an occupational therapist for the County of Essex, Verona, for over 20 years, retiring many years ago. Surviving are her children, Francis J. Christoff and his wife, Holly, Spokane, Washington, Michael Christoff, Hanover Township, David Christoff, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Patricia Danziger and her husband, Carl, Freehold Township, and Bonnie Snyder and her husband, Steven, Fort Washington, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren; and her loving, caring friend, Rita Boateng. A memorial gathering will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Monday, November 18, 2013 from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Words of remembrance will be shared at 2:00 P.M.
