Obituary of Shirley Ann Johnson

Shirley Ann Johnson, 62, of Jackson Township died November 19, 2013 in Jackson Township. Mrs. Johnson was born in Headland, Alabama and had resided in Freehold before moving to Jackson Township 36 years ago. She attended Praise Temple, Neptune. Mrs. Johnson was employed at the Department of Children and Families, Division of Child Protection and Permanency. Her husband, Robert Johnson, also died on November 19, 2013. A brother, David Key, died in 2004. Surviving are five sons, Dion, Robert, Tyrone and wife Dominique, Jermaine, and Derex, and wife, Jaclyn; four brothers, Jimmy Key, Jerome Key and wife Pinkie, and Hardy Key and wife Valerie, and Jerry Reynolds; three sisters, Angie Felton and husband Dave, Clara Boothe and husband Glen, and Ruby Key-Wright and husband Robert; ten grandchildren, Eric Johnson, Chantel Boes, Corey Johnson, Michaila Johnson, Karlie McCarthy, Nyasha Johnson, Jaylyn Epperly, Kyle Johnson, Isaiah Johnson, and Jeremiah Johnson; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visiting will be held at the Hope Cathedral Church, 46 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson on Friday from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Calvary Lighthouse, 1133 East County Line Road, Lakewood on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
