Obituary of Robert Johnson

Robert Johnson, 70, of Jackson Township died November 19, 2013 in Jackson Township. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and had resided in Freehold before moving to Jackson 36 years ago. He was the owner and operator of BJ Towing, Jackson Township. His wife, Shirley Johnson, also died on November 19, 2013. A son, Michael Jackson, died in 1984 and a daughter, Brenda Ann Johnson died in 2013. A sister, Aida Bergen died in 1995. Surviving are nine sons, Dion, Robert, Tyrone and wife Dominique, Jermaine, and Derex and wife Jaclyn; Shawn Crippen, Bernard Crippen, Craig Crippen, Chris Crippen and wife Nicole; a daughter, Cheryl Jackson, seven brothers, Julio Diaz, David Suarez, Victor Diaz and wife Judy, Jose Diaz and wife Ann, Ernie Texidor and wife Shelia, Simon Texidor, Jr. and wife Denise, sisters, Delia Ortiz and husband Nelson, Iris Colon and husband Orlando; Sandra Copleland and husband Kenneth, Monica Bonner and husband Cedric, and Loreese Harville and husband Franklin; 33 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visiting will be held at the Hope Cathedral Church, 46 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson on Friday November 29, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Calvary Lighthouse, 1133 East County Line Road, Lakewood on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
