Obituary of Joseph Grinkevich

Joseph Grinkevich, 83, of Jackson Township died Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Brick Hospital, Brick Township. Mr. Grinkevich was born in Elizabeth and had resided in Marlboro before moving to Jackson Township. Mr. Grinkevich served in the United States Marine Corps from 1951 to 1953. He was a working foreman for the Nestle Company, Freehold where he was employed for over 25 years before his retirement. Mr. Grinkevich was a member of American Legion Post No. 54, Freehold. Surviving are his wife, Sandra Ann Sholomicki Grinkevich; a son and daughter-in-law Joseph G. and Susan Grinkevich; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra D. and Ronald Lapinski; his grandchildren, Joseph, Heather and her husband Alex, Nicholas, Lisa and her husband Michael, and Ryan; two great grandchildren, Zane and Jacey; and his “grandpuppy”, Rooney. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Chapel, Freehold on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by entombment at St. Rose of Lima Mausoleum.
