Obituary of Brother Matthew Moloney

Brother Matthew Moloney, F.S.C., 94, of Lincroft, died Friday, December 6, 2013 at De La Salle Hall, Lincroft. Brother Matthew was born in New York, New York and received the Holy Habit of the Christian Brothers on September 7, 1938. He graduated from Catholic University, Washington in 1943, and earned a Master’s degree in History from Manhattan College in 1949, earned a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Detroit in 1955, and earned a Master’s degree in Theology from Manhattan College in 1968. He was a member of the Child Caring Institute, New York State. His teaching assignments included St. Augustine’s School, New York, St. Joseph’s School, Detroit, Michigan, St. Jerome’s School, Bronx, New York, La Salle School, Albany, New York, St. Raymond’s School, New York, Manhattan College, Bronx, New York, La Salle Academy, New York, Sacred Heart High School, Yonkers, New York, and St. Peter’s High School, Staten Island, New York. The viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at De La Salle Hall, 810 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 1:45 P.M. at De La Salle Hall. Memorial donations to De La Salle Nursing Development, 810 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, NJ 07738 would be appreciated.
