Obituary of Josephine Luongo

Josephine Luongo, 91, of Freehold Township died Monday, December 9, 2013 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Luongo was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and resided in Marine Park, Brooklyn before moving to Freehold one year ago. Her husband, Michael Luongo, died in 1990. A son, Michael D. Luongo, died in 2010. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Nancy Luongo;; a daughter-in-law, Marcelle Jalandoni-Luongo; a granddaughter, Emily Ma-Luongo; two brothers-in-law, Dr. Frank Luongo, Brooklyn, N.Y. and Dr. Pat Luongo, Queens, N.Y.; two sisters-in-law Tessie Rossilli and Teri Isabella, both of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. Private cremation will be followed by a memorial service at a later date. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
