Obituary of Robert Wittenburg

Robert Wittenburg, Sr., 67, of Howell Township passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at home. Born in Teaneck, he lived in Freehold prior to moving to Howell Township 38 years ago. Mr. Wittenburg was an auto mechanic for Pine Belt Chevrolet, Lakewood, for 20 years, retiring six years ago. He was a former member of the Howell Township Pop Warner Football league. Surviving are his wife, Nancy L. Gardener Wittenburg; two sons, Robert Wittenburg, Jr. and his wife, Kerry, Howell Township, and Mark J. Wittenburg, and his companion, Stephanie Pumphrey, Lakehurst, his grandsons, Robert and Joseph Wittenburg; and his brother, Conrad Wittenburg, Jackson Township. Relatives and friends may call at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
