Obituary of Diana J. Power

Diana J. Power, age 81, of Tavares passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2013. She was born November 2, 1932 in Neptune, NJ and moved to Lake County in 1993 from Freehold, NJ. She was the owner/operator of the Tally Ho Inn in Tinton Falls, NJ. She was a member of St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis and was a member of the American Legion. She is survived by her son, William Meeks of Astatula, FL; daughter, Diana J. Dixon of Leesburg, FL; brother, Joseph McLaughlin of Neptune City, NJ; Virginia Schmidt of Cochecton, NY; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 28, 2013 from 12:00PM until 2:00PM at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares. Graveside services will be held at Monmouth Memorial Park, Route 33, Tinton Falls on Tuesday at noon under the direction of the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Lake County, 16435 McKinley Rd, Umatilla, FL 32784
