Obituary of Irma Meyer
Irma Meyer, 87, of Millstone Township, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2014 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in New York City, New York.
She was the owner and operator of Silver King Farm, and later worked at Six Flags Great Adventure, Jackson Township, for three years, just for the fun of it.
Mrs. Meyer was a deacon at the United Presbyterian Church of Millstone; Life Member of the Millstone Elks Lodge No. 2613; served on the Monmouth County Election Board; served as Millstone Township Hospital Auxiliary President from 1980 to 1982, and again in 1985; and in her earlier years was involved with the Millstone Township Boy Scouts. She was a lover of animals and was a people person.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Meyer.
Surviving are two sons, Robert and Carl Meyer; two grandsons; and a great granddaughter.
Memorial services will be held at the United Presbyterian Church of Millstone, 211 Millstone Road, Millstone Township on Thursday, January 9th, at 7:00 p.m. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall. Memorial donations to the Millstone Township Centrastate Hospital Auxiliary or the United Presbyterian Church of Millstone would be appreciated. Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
