Obituary of Brother Kevin Erb

Brother Kevin Erb, F.S.C., 89, of Lincroft died Monday, January 13, 2014 at De La Salle Hall, Lincroft. Brother Kevin received the Holy Habit of the Christian Brothers on February 1, 1952. He had served in U.S. Marine Corps from 1942 to 1946. He was a graduate of La Salle College, Philadelphia where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Master of Arts Degree. He also received a Master of Arts Degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Brother Kevin’s assignments included Central Catholic High School, Pittsburgh, Penn., De La Salle Juniorate, Ammendale, Maryland, St. Francis Vocational School, Eddington, Penn., South Hills Catholic High School, Pittsburgh, St. Gabriel’s System, Audubon, Penn., La Salle High College High School, Wyndmoor, Penn., De La Salle in Towne, Philadelphia where he served as principal, La Salle Hall, Ammendale, Maryland where he served as sub-director and director of the Holy Family Community. Brother Kevin was in residence at La Salle Hall, Ammendale from 2004 to 2012 and De La Salle Hall, Lincroft since 2012. A viewing will be held at De La Salle Hall, Lincroft on Friday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. and at La Salle Hall, 6001 Ammendale Road, Beltsville, MD on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at St. Josephs’ Church, 11007 Montgomery Road, Beltsville, MD. Memorial donations to De La Salle Nursing Development, 810 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, NJ 07738 would be appreciated. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
