Obituary of Marcella Ann Clayton
Marcella Ann Clayton, 77, of Crossville, Tennessee died Friday, March 21, 2014 at Hospice of Cumberland County, Crossville. Marcella was born in Freehold and had resided there, Maine, and Florida before moving to Tennessee eight years ago.
She was a banker before her retirement.
Marcella was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Tennessee and a former communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold.
She was the daughter of the late John and Mary Brady Smith.
Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Curtis Clayton; three sons, Scott Clayton and his wife Claire, Ray Clayton, Ken Clayton and his wife, Christine; two daughters, Kileen Scott and her husband Dale, and Janice Bednarz and her husband Michael; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Saturday, May 3 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
