Obituary of Teresa Scanga

Teresa Scanga, 93, of Freehold Township died Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Wedgwood Gardens, Freehold Township. Mrs. Scanga was born in Lago, Italy. She was a seamstress for Vito Sturiano, Ridgewood, N.Y. before her retirement. Mrs. Scanga was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Freehold. She was predeceased by her husband, Franceso P. Scanga in 1988 and a son, Adamo Scanga in1975. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Vincenza and Frank Palermo, Gina Palermo and Louis Palermo, and Annie and Dennis Pallone; her grandchildren, Frankie Scanga and wife Denise Scanga, Terry Valentino and husband Patsy, Linda Palermo, Jimmy Palermo and wife Melissa, Lucyanne Casale and husband Joseph, Anthony Pallone and wife, Maura; and Maria Palermo; and seven great grandchildren. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery.
