Obituary of Jeffrey R. Hance

Jeffrey R. Hance, 58, of Salisbury, N.C., formerly of Freehold, died April 12, 2014 at the W.G. Hefner Veterans Administration Medical Center, Salisbury. He was born in Neptune Township and had resided in Freehold for most of his life. Jeff was a graduate of Freehold High School, Class of 1974. He was a diesel mechanic. Jeff served in the U.S. Navy. He was an exempt member of the Good Will Hook and Ladder Company of the Freehold Fire Department. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert E. and Shirley Benton Hance, and a son, Timothy Hance. Surviving are a daughter, Tiffany Hawk; a brother, David E. Hance; and a sister, Janet R. Hance; a nephew, James, Jr.; and a niece, Paige. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent. Freehold Fire Department services will be held at 9:15 a.m.
