Obituary of Mary Martin

Mary Martin, 94, of Lincroft, died Friday, May 9, 2014 at De La Salle Hall, Lincroft. Born in the Bronx, New York, she lived there and in Wall Township prior to moving to Lincroft 8 years ago. Miss Martin was a bookkeeper for American Reinsurance, New York for 25 years, retiring in 1988. Prior to that, she had several other bookkeeping jobs, all of which she held for a long period of time. Mary also cared for her mother, who lived to be 101 years old. She attended Central Commercial School, New York, where she trained as a bookkeeper. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Elizabeth Woods Martin; and her brother, Brother John Amedy Martin, F.S.C. Relatives and friends may call at De La Salle Hall, Lincroft on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. at De La Salle Hall. Interment will follow at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Marlboro Township. Donations in her memory to the De La Salle Nursing Development, 810 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, NJ 07738 would be appreciated.
