Obituary of Arthur E. MacDowell

Arthur E. Mac Dowell, Jr., 63, of Freehold, the loving brother and uncle passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center, New Brunswick. Born in Neptune Township, he lived there prior to moving to Freehold 40 years ago. Mr. MacDowell was an elementary school science teacher for the Freehold Township Public Schools, retiring in 2000. Surviving are his sister and brother-in-law, Kathi and Neil Gottesman, Ocean Pines, Maryland; and two nephews, Justin Gottesman and his wife Wandy, Brooklyn, New York, and Aaron Gottesman and his wife, Erin, Ocean Gate. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 A.M. at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold. Entombment will follow at Monmouth Memorial Park Mausoleum, Tinton Falls.
