Obituary of Ralph Fichtl

Ralph Fichtl, 96 of Colts Neck, passed away on Wednesday May 21, 2014 at home. Born in Maywood, he lived there prior to moving to Colts Neck in 1965. Mr. Fichtl was an engineer for R.C.A. Company, retiring in 1983. He was an exempt member of the Maywood Firemen’s Association; Colts Neck Fire Company No. 2, and a member of the Stokes Steppers, Toms River. He was predeceased by his wife of 70 years and two months, Joan Masters Fichtl in 2012; and his daughter, Gail V. Walling in 1994. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Woodrow Luhrs, Manalapan Township; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
