Obituary of Gerald S. Polverino
Gerald S. “Jerry” Polverino, 56, of Freehold passed away on June 4, 2014 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Jerry loved his family first and foremost and his life was focused on their happiness. Jerry was a self made carpenter who worked his craft not only with his father Jerry but now with his son Nicholas turning Polverino Contracting into a business of which everyone would be proud.
He also enjoyed spending time with his wife and friends riding his Harley.
Jerry served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was a quiet, unassuming man, always there if you needed help. He will be dearly missed by all.
Jerry was predeceased by his parents, Girro and Rosebud Polverino and his grandparents.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Ellen Glade Polverino; a son, Nicolas; a daughter, Samatha and his first granddaughter, Annalia; his sisters, Kay Boutote and her husband Dennis and Mary DiBenedetto; his uncles, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and dear friends. His beloved loyal companion Pup, is missing Jerry as well.
Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent.
