Obituary of Caroline Solow

Caroline Solow, 84, of Freehold Township died Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Applewood Estates Healthcare Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Solow was born in the Smithburg section of Freehold Township and had lived in Cranbury Township and Boca Raton, Florida before residing in Freehold Township. Mrs. Solow was a teacher at the Cranbury School for 25 years before her retirement 25 years ago. She was a member of Na’amat, USA a worldwide leader in early childhood education and Hadassah. Her husband, Seymour Solow, died in 2003. Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Eve Solow; two daughters and sons-in-law, Fran Solow Weinberger and Marvin Weinberger and Beth Solow Dietz and Steven Dietz; a brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Joel and Beverly Stern; a sister and brother-in-law Karen and Leo Slobodin; six grandchildren, Robert and Joshua Solow, Ariela and David Weinberger, Jeremy Dietz and his wife Amy, and Brian Dietz and fiancé Lauren Trager; and a great grandson, Samuel Dietz. Funeral services will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at the Workmen’s Circle Cemetery, Route 33, Freehold. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Cranbury Public Library Foundation, 23 N. Main Street, Cranbury, NJ 08512 would be appreciated.
