Obituary of William Philpot
William Philpot, 72, of Clarksburg died Sunday, July 20, 2014 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was born in Highland Park.
Mr. Philpot was a custom home contractor before his retirement. He was a member of United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Union Local No. 1006, Milltown.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cooking his catches. He was a former member of the Cross Pile Hunting Club and enjoyed Blue Grass music and traveling to Blue Grass music festivals.
He was a former member of B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 2613, Millstone Township.
He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Mable Hughes Philpot.
Surviving are his wife, Susan Mauch Philpot; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Harry Bingenheimer and Cynthia and Robert Lindsay; three brothers, Harry, Richard, and John Philpot; a sister and brother-in-law Janet and George Schneider; and two grandsons, Charles and Zachary.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Millstone Elks Lodge, 22 Burnt Tavern Road, Clarksburg on Sunday, August 3 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the N.J. District Kiwanis Foundation or Robert Ahrens Memorial Fund, both care of PO Box 187, Clarksburg, NJ 08510 would be appreciated. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
