Obituary of Jessie C. Brodie

Jessie C. Brodie, 73, of Freehold died Friday, July 25, 2014 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in Long Branch. Mr. Brodie served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1959 to 1963. He was a truck driver for Colonial Foods, Freehold and Red Rose Trucking before his retirement. Surviving are his former wife of 35 years, Jane Williams; two sons, Calvin and his wife Josetta and Michael and his wife Latoya; a sister, Mabel Carter; and his grandchildren, Calvin, Michael, Tiawanna, Jamar, Jaden, Joseph, Isaiah, and Jaynna. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to noon. Funeral services will be held at noon followed by interment at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
