Obituary of Walter Loeffler

Walter Loeffler, 88, of Old Bridge Township died Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge Division. In 1957, Mr. Loeffler moved to Brooklyn, N.Y. from Eggenfelden, Germany and nine years later relocated to Old Bridge. He was a communicant of St. Ambrose R.C. Church, Old Bridge. Mr. Loeffler was a painter of fine art and art restorer. Surviving are his wife, Maria Rieger Loeffler and a daughter, Evelyn. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. The Funeral liturgy will be celebrated at St. Gabriel’s Historic Church, 549 Route 520, Marlboro on Friday at 10:00 a.m. followed by entombment at St. Gabriel’s Mausoleum.
