Obituary of Nancy Kordek Gordon

Nancy Kordek Gordon, 95, of Freehold Township passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014 at Monmouth Crossing, Freehold Township. Born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, she lived in Florida prior to moving to the Freehold area in 1978. Mrs. Gordon was a strong woman who loved her family, enjoyed meditation, yoga and juicing as far back as the 1960’s, showing she was a woman truly ahead of her time. She was predeceased by her husband, Irving Gordon, in 1965, and her granddaughter, Denise Wilson Schafer, in May of 2014. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Alan and Betsy Gordon, Lewistown, Pennsylvania; her daughter and son-in-law, Marcia Carol and John Wilson, Aberdeen; five grandchildren, Stephanie and Jessica Wilson, Heather Morgan, and Ben and Jonathan Gordon; and her four great grandchildren, Maya, Hailey, Katelyn, and Carys. A memorial gathering will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Saturday, September 27, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held during the memorial gathering. Donations in her memory to the Embracing Hospice Care (Embracing Hospicare.org) would be appreciated.
