Obituary of Ronald J. Ferko
Ronald J. Ferko, 79, of Manalapan Township died Saturday, October 11, 2014 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in Marlboro Township.
He was a graduate of Freehold High School, Class of 1952.
Mr. Ferko served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960.
He was employed at Western Electric Company and New Jersey Bell Telephone Company and was a chief switchman for Bell Atlantic, Robertsville before his retirement.
He was a former member of the Marlboro Fire Company.
He was a loved, admired, honest, and generous man.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Barbara Kane, Gary Ferko, Steven Kane, and Francis Kane.
Surviving are his wife, Jeanne Fox Ferko; his children, Judy Ferko, Debbie Mendelshon, and Bruce Tilley; his brothers, James Kane, Edward Kane, and Michael Kane; his sisters, Ethel Anderson and Ellen Molte; and his grandchildren, Dustin, Madeline, Olivia, and Rachel.
The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held during the viewing hours.
