Obituary of George R. Craig
George R. Craig, Jr., 70, of Freehold Township died Friday, October 24, 2014 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and had resided in Freehold Township since 1972.
He was a graduate of Westminster College, New Wilmington, Pennsylvania and earned a Master of Business Administration Degree from Seton Hall University.
Mr. Craig taught management training for Blessing/White Companies, Inc, Princeton for 20 years before his retirement. Prior to that he was employed for 15 years at Bell Laboratories, Holmdel Township.
He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, a member of Knob Hill Golf Club, Manalapan Township and a member of B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 1454, Freehold.
Surviving are his wife, Susan Baker Craig; a son, George Roth Craig, III, Freehold; a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth H. and Richard Kirchner and two grandchildren, Caroline and Hannah Kirchner, all of Derby, Vermont; and a sister, Caroline Blackmore, Pittsburgh.
Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 118 West Main Street, Freehold on Wednesday at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers Memorial donations to Westminster College Development Office, New Wilmington, PA 16172 would be appreciated.
