Obituary of Kymberli A. Freeman
Kymberli A. Freeman, 34, of Neptune City died November 1, 2014 at home. She was born in Long Branch.
She went to St. Bartholomew's School, East Brunswick and then graduated from East Brunswick High School in 1998.
She graduated from William Paterson College with a degree in Communications, where she was president of the TV club and directed and produced shows for the campus network.
She loved movies and TV, having almost 1,000 titles in her home collection, and enjoyed seeing movies in the theater, and writing about them online with her friends and family. She especially loved Marvel Superhero movies, with “The Avengers” being her favorite, and Thor being her favorite hero.
She absolutely loved Disney animated movies and Disney World, which she visited almost every year, including on her honeymoon. She was even able to visit Disney World with her niece Jocelyn a month before she died, giving them a wonderful time together.
She absolutely loved animals, especially Dachshunds, and owned and cared for several during her life.
She worked as a Dispatcher at Criticom Monitoring Services, where she answered emergency calls and alarms, to protect people and their homes from danger. She also taught classes to the new employees. She had many great friends there, including Lynette Windsor and Christine Wenzel.
Surviving is her husband, Robert Freeman whom she first met in 2008, and married on September 8, 2012. She was everything to Robert, his true love, and best friend of their two wonderful Dachshunds, Bonnie and Clyde.
Also surviving are her mother, Karin Van den Noort, her sister, Jennifer Van den Noort, and her niece and Goddaughter, Jocelyn Jackson. She was very close with all of them, visiting them several times a week, and talking with them almost every day. She is also survived by her father William Van den Noort and his wife, Kymberli's stepmom, Joanne Sedwick; two uncles, Wilfred Berndt and wife Bonnie Berndt and Harald Berndt; and her aunt Lyn Carlson and husband Ken Carlson.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. A time of remembrance and sharing will be held at 2:30 p.m. In memory of Kymberli’s fondness for Disney, those attending the memorial gathering are welcome to wear Disney theme apparel. In lieu of flowers, any donations in her name to animal rescue organizations would be appreciated.
