Obituary of Roy Thomas Dixie
Roy Thomas Dixey, 58, of Lumberton passed away on Friday, November 28, 2014 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township.
He was a nurseryman for Spotts, Inc., Medford and valued his many work acquaintances and close friends and neighbors.
He was predeceased by his wife Carol who was the love of his life; his parents, Jack and Rosanna Dixey and a brother, Steve Dixey; and his grandparents Wallace and Anna Nye and Helen and Roy Newton.
Surviving are his nephews and nieces, John Dixey and wife Audrey, Michelle Truszkowski and husband George, Renee Mayles and husband Chad, and Michael Dixey; his grand nieces and nephews, Molly, MacKenzie, Brody, and Austin; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Dixey.
His love for his nieces and nephews and family was always evident by his smile and unending hugs and kisses.
He loved his family in Colorado and Arizona-his wife’s sons Nathan, Patrick, and Phillip Stowe. He proudly showed photos of Chloe and Adalyn. He longed for strength and health to visit them along with Carol’s mother, Marian Graves, sisters Loretta and Karen, and brother David.
Toms’ passions were astronomy and fishing. He enjoyed fishing with his brother Steve and never came home empty handed. He will be remembered fondly whenever a star shines brightly in the sky on a cool clear night.
The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
