Obituary of Alice Patten Corrigan

Alice P. (Patten) Corrigan, age 97, passed away on April 13, 2023, at the Jewish Home for Rehabilitation & Nursing. She was born and raised in Freehold, NJ. She also lived in Ardena, Brielle, Brick, before moving to Dunedin, FL in 1984. She returned to Jackson, NJ in 2006 before settling in Toms River, NJ. Mrs. Corrigan Graduated from Freehold High School. During WWII she was an airplane spotter with her father. She worked at NJ Bell Telephone as a Telephone Operator for 17 years, changing jobs to work at Freehold Savings and Loan as an Assistant Secretary & New Accounts Officer for 18 years, retiring in 1983. She was an avid crafts maker and loved crocheting. She was predeceased by her parents, Ruth C. (Harper) and H. Russell Patten, her loving husband, Joseph F., of 62 years, in 2011, a daughter, Gloria Jean Corrigan in 1966, a brother, Adrian Patten, and seven sisters, Jeannette Blair, Margaret Snyder, Elizabeth Megill, Joan Biddle, Gloria Solinski and twins Patricia & Marie Patten, who died at birth. She is survived by her children, Michael J. Corrigan and his wife Peggy of Wyalusing, PA. and Patricia A. Guckenberger and her husband Richard C. of Freehold, NJ, and a brother, George Patten of Freehold, NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sharyn Butta of Ocean Gate, NJ, Megan Corrigan of Toms River, NJ, Sean Corrigan of Levittown, PA, Erin Eastmond and her Husband Casey of Belford, NJ, Carolyn Guckenberger of Jackson, NJ and Maryanne Nonis and her husband Elizer of Colts Neck, NJ; three great grandchildren, Alex Keenan of Ocean Gate, NJ, Ashe Corrigan of Toms River, NJ, Justina Nonis of Colts Neck, NJ., and several nieces & nephews. Graveside services will be private.
